Maybe humanity is evolving to develop TELEPATHY. Sometimes I practice it while say, lining up in the shopping queues. I emit negative thoughts and see anyone picking up, usually one or two ppl will start giving me nasty looks. Works every time.

In all seriously it because the generation z like to deal with their own serious issues with humor. When it comes responding to someone else (one speaking passionately) well they can't help it but to think "okay then", and don't engage longer. Unless they are close to said person. Lack of depth could be because they lack experience compared to the older generations.
