My answer to the OP question is: reallistically only Spanish that are not Spanish can be considered white phenotypically in the US. So, no Spanish can be considered white.

It's not true unless you consider the English/Welsh/Scottish to be 'German'. Of course , Germans have a high presence here but I would not say they are the definition of 'white' obviously they are whiter than Eastern and Southern Europeans though.
