Only one of my parent's surnames is missing. We're all peasants
Ó, anciã, Mãe! Nossa mágoa é eterna
    Foste esquecida, perdida
    Vossa glória, vossa honra, banida
Mas vosso canto prevalece no fogo e na névoa agreste.
    Destronada e abandonada,
    Por bastardos humilhada,
    Ao esquecimento lançada.

My paternal grand mother from Andalusia had Garcia as second surname, so it´s my 7th. surname.

But Garcia is the most common surname in Spain.

I have a Galician surname among my 16 first surnames, maybe is shared with Portugueses: Pombo.

Yes i have met people with the surname Pombo. As for Garcia is a curious case because it's supposed to be basque in origin but it's spread all over including here.

Was a male common name, at least was quite common in Navarre common during the middle ages.

Maybe it has an etymological origin in some Basque dialect during the Middle Ages.

And from the person's name it would change as a patronymic indicative to be a surname, but I don't think that carrying that surname necessarily indicates a Basque ancestry.

Like Rodriguez, it would not necessarily indicate Visigothic ancestry, no matter how much it derives from a name of a person of Germanic origin (Rodrigo = Roderic).

My Pombo surname comes from a man called Blas Pombo del Corral, born in San Martín de Cances parrish, in La Coruña province in 1692.

He is the only "parachutist" of my mother's ancestors in 5 centuries that I have collected in my genealogical tree that was not from an area around 40 km from my mother's village.

He married with a woman born in a village 5 km from my mother's town in 1719, María Sáenz de Navaridas .

Pombo means Paloma in Portuguese (and probably Galician too).

Yes, I knew it, that animal is included in the most common heraldic related shield to that surname.

    https://www.galiciadigital.com/opinion/opinion.986.php

No one of the Pombos named in that site is related with my Pombo ancestor as far as I know.
