I think your original idea should be more accurate than mine, and the idea of link the labels of the references to the ancient colonial racial mixing scale is very good.

Anyway for Latinoamericans maybe is more informative (and will always get better distances) simply a model with different European+Amerindian+SSA references.

It would be fantastic of course to try those other averages (castizo and harnizo).
Even though I am not sure if it's necessary to add the SSA... most mexican mestizos score between 1.5 and 5%... it's not a very relevant number, even though it could be interesting if you do it of course.

Sure: Chile, Paraguay and Costa Rica are practically harnizo, but Costa Rica may be with a little split of SSA, but not more than 4/5% in the most populated area.
Argentina is castizo o average with a little tendence to "white latino", what genetic calculators consider +85% Euro in the New World (Argentinian average is close to 75/78% European).
And Uruguay is in the last category (average is 84% Euro more or less).

Thanks. The reason why I made all these coordinates in the first place is because I want to see where they plot on a Global PCA something like an West Eurasia-East Eurasia-Africa three dimension.

For example this PCA, look at how close Natives (Pima and Clovis) are close to the plots of Altaian and Kyrgyz.



Or this PCA: Totonacs are an Amerindian ethnic group from Southern Mexico. The PCA comes from this DNA study. The Bolivians according to this paper has some European admixture while the Totonacs are 100%/close to 100% Amerindian. CHB/JPT are Han Chinese from Beijing, Japanese from Tokyo while CEU are Americans of European descent from Utah and YRI aer Yorubas fo West Africa



I want to see where Latin Americans would plot in such PCA hehe.
