I realize that we are not so influenced by Hispanic culture. At least in my state. But I have friends in Peru, Argentina ... who consume Brazilian things. Language is a barrier issue, people can say no, because of the proximity of the two languages. But it still exists. It is cliche, but what unites us to the Hispanics is without a doubt football. And at some point in history we were all fucked up by Murica. hahaha

I always had the impression that you are like a subcontinent but if you have any kind of interest or knowledge from outside the central countries, it is Argentina.

And it is reciprocous. Recently I ve seen the serie Jesus, it s the best depiction of Jesus´s life on screen.

When I was at Santiago Airport, I noticed most of the international flights were to Argentina and Brazil, with far fewer going anywhere else.

And Mafalda is very famous here, because she's omnipresent in portuguese tests. haha Before the pandemic I wanted to take a trip through South America

But yes, brazilians rarely describe themselves as "latino", Im not sure if other nations do that. People think countries like France, Portugal, Spain and Italy are as latino as Brazil, Argentina or Bolivia.

Probably some Mexican Television channels/shows are being broadcast to the Southern cone such as El Chavo del 8 and RBD etc
A los brasileños no les importa lo que les pase a sus vecinos y su cultura en Sudamérica, ¡mucho menos en México y Centroamérica y el Caribe!

Their only claim to fame is language, which, thank God, is not Spanish.

Nahh.. Brazil shouldn't be forced to feel the need to be "accepted" by us . They are incredibly well off and proud of themselves and country just the way they are now.
