Default Do Brazilians feel left out of Latin America?

Because they are the only ones who's speak Portuguese all their neighbors speak Spanish. Growing up In Mexico I remembered watching some novelas/shows specially from Colombia & Venezuela and even popular novelas from Argentina In the 90s.

Probably some Mexican Television channels/shows are being broadcast to the Southern cone such as El Chavo del 8 and RBD etc

I feel like they do a little bit, I think mainly just bcs of the language (or anything that involves it) more than anything, but idk if they care.

    People dont think about it

But yes, brazilians rarely describe themselves as "latino", Im not sure if other nations do that. People think countries like France, Portugal, Spain and Italy are as latino as Brazil, Argentina or Bolivia.

If they are left from Latam, it means they are closer to Lusophone Africa? I don't think so.

Genetically maybe they are closer to countries like Angola than countries like Bolivia, but culturally, economically, racially, historically and maybe politically they are still very close to countries like Colombia, DR, Cuba and Puerto Rico.

You are out, you are in the United States.

Here we have more relation with Brasil than the countries that most of you named in Fincher's thread. And we are talking about aprox 260 millions ppl.

Many things in the country are national, its easier to have a bubble effect in Brazil than in Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, DR, Peru...

Most Brazilians live on the Atlantic coast. Apart from some states that border on Hispanic countries or even Suriname, Guyanas...

I realize that we are not so influenced by Hispanic culture. At least in my state. But I have friends in Peru, Argentina ... who consume Brazilian things. Language is a barrier issue, people can say no, because of the proximity of the two languages. But it still exists. It is cliche, but what unites us to the Hispanics is without a doubt football. And at some point in history we were all fucked up by Murica. hahaha
