Not true. Finland are one of the fairest - skinned people in the world. In that, They are quite similar to the other Scandinavians, they do not tan more easily than Scandinavians. The Danish tan slightly easier than the Finnish by the way. The only thing remarked by anthropologists is that the Finnish and Estonians are less ruddy in the skin than Scandinavians.

Look at the frequency of skin type 4 in the Danish vs the Finnish populations. You can see that the Danish have a higher frequency than that of the Finnish.

I will admit that Finns are lighter than British, Irish, Danes, Swedes, and Norwegians, but I don't know if they're lighter than Icelanders, given the fact that Iceland is geographically further north than Finland.

I grew up with a Swedish guy who had distant Forest Finn ancestors and was pretty Baltid or East Baltic in classification. He always had a very tanned look in the summer.
