    Default Mytrueancestry interesting matches

I match a celtic gladiator in britain, a merowingian noble, and some in revolutionary france, as well as tuscan crusaders and a georgian crusader. I match a viking massacre Oxford. Does that hint to a little part germanic ancestry? Or it is normal for people with foreign ancestries to have such matches?

rather high but still like 20 or 70 even higher then other users though. or it wouldnt be a sample match, if i do not match one it says "you do not match this sample" higher distance is probably because im mixed and not pure.

I match with at least one sample in every category except Minoans, Syltholm chewing gum, crusader knights, and Egyptian mummies, and the distances are all below 16.

It is important to note that it's not really a matter of how close you are to the sample compared to other people, but the genetic distance between your kit and the sample. For example, the genetic distance between me and the Late Medieval Villa Magna Italy (1355 AD) sample is 14.7, and I'm in the "top 90 % match vs all users." Looking at how much closer I am compared to other users may make it seem that this is a close match, yet the genetic distance is around 15. According to MyTrueAncestry, the genetic distance between your kit and a sample can be categorized under three categories:

"Genetic distance measures how close you are to a given sample.

10 means this is your ancient ancestry
20 means this is part of your ancestral link
30 means possibly related to your ancestry"

Because of this, you can, for example, match with one of the Revolutionary France samples but still be quite a bit away from it, genetically speaking.
"Tainted souls who try to purify themselves with blood are like the man who steps in filth and thinks to bathe in sewage."

Makes me think of creating bullshitlike website like this, with theoretically gedmatch calculator where modern pops are subsituted by "ancient" ones, so hilarious XD

MTA is not something to be taken seriously, tbh this app should be forbidden for people with poor understanding of genetics. Its so fucking annoying seeing people WeWuz because this app gives them a match (with a fucking distance over 30.000) and they think that those certain matches were their ancestors.
