Tbh the only reason I put Hungary after Slovakia on my list is because Austrians and Slovaks have more similar pigmentation, Hungarians are much darker(although some people will tell you otherwise lol), Austrians and Hungarians probably have more similar facial features. While Austrians actually don't look very eastern(especially despite what their Slavic admixture would imply, pure Baltids are practically absent in Austria, a stark contrast from Czechia, Slovenia and Hungary), Pontid influence is still somewhat common(i.e Katharina Naschenweng), and of course Dinarid(although the latter is also heavily present in Italy). Basically most Austrians are either fully Germanic looking(i.e Isabella Kresche), Iberian/Italian rather than Balkan Med looking(i.e Irene Fuhrmann), or inbetween both with a lean toward Germanic as is the case for the majority of Austrians, ie this girl:

but eastern influence is still present, and Germanic types are naturally closer to Slavic or intermediary types, which is why there's no way Italy would be ahead of Hungary. Actually, N. Italians aren't as white washed on this forum as they used to be, but even if you only count N. Italians, Austria-Italy is one of the largest genetic, pigmentational and phenotypical borders in Europe, along with Ukraine-Romania and Slovenia-Italy. N. Italians really don't look too different from other Italians, just more outlier types(and also less outlier types of another sort more common in the South), averages are near the same.
Czechs are more similar to East Germans than to Austrians. I been to both SLO amd CZE and Slovenians look more similar to Austrians.

Slovaks look too Slavic and eastern, sometimes Balkan, no way they are closer to Austrians than Hungarians who have much more German influence.

Even though I don't find Hungarians that similar to Austrians. But Slovaks are even further.

And now the lord of the forum will reveal you the final truth.

As an Austrian who has grown up in the eastern part of Wien since the times of Böhm-Bawerk, i tell you, you all, that many Austrians overlap with .....

    ....the Iberians.

To be fair, We (Austrian intellighenzia) don't overlap much with Italians.

You were basically our slaves until a couple of centuries ago.
Now you're the slave of the rest of Italy (paying for the rest of the country). That's the destiny of venetians

Sooner or later we will return to what we were before Napoleon -the pig - arrived.

Venetians taught you how to cook and how to play music.. and how to dress...

The music scene in glory days in Vienna was dominated largely by the Italians

Salieri and other Venetians taught how to play music to Beethoven Schubert Mozart Meyerbeer Liszt

Before Salieri arriving in Vienna there was no austrian capable to read and play any type of music..
