Default What does happiness mean to you?

I've seen the thread about "money can't buy happiness" and it made me curious to ask. I've always been curious about this. What do people expect to feel? How do they imagine it?
I think humans aren't made to be happy. happiness is an abstract concept for most of them. the more money you have, the more you understand that you'll never reach that state of mind. being poor at least you have a hope. you have a dream to chase.
there are short moments in our lives when we have that feeling of joy but it doesn't lasts forever. it goes away even for the simple reason that we get used to it.

i agree with the last statement about how we get used to it so it doesn't make us happy anymore. i think permanent happiness is more being content with what you have, like you could be rich and have a family but there will still be things that make you unhappy, so you can never really have permanent happiness. and at all depends on your outlook and mindset, there are people who are super rich and unhappy and poor people who are happy.
as humans we're always looking for a stimulus to make us feel happy, which is why people get addicted to things like drugs, money, etc, but that high/happiness is only temporary, hence why i don't think it's really ever possible to be completely happy all the time

Only one thing, awareness of the person that will never leave me.

Unfortunately, she left me currently (isolation) and i feel very bad first time after such a long time.

    My children smiling, laughing.

Also when I capture and hug them.

and sometimes from time to time saying te quiero papá (they also tell me I hate you when I scold them, little bastards!!!)

i think happiness is elusive. it’s not a fixed destination, but can be compromised of a variety of things.

i wonder if having more money to take care of the mundane means that one can aspire to dream bigger, outside of their realm. does that mean the quality of the happiness increases once the dimension of the dream increases? hm.

maybe then you'll feel like you're missing excitement many people like to throw that away when they reach that point and start everything from zero
