I think humans aren't made to be happy.

I think humans aren't made to be happy. happiness is an abstract concept for most of them. the more money you have, the more you understand that you'll never reach that state of mind. being poor at least you have a hope. you have a dream to chase.
there are short moments in our lives when we have that feeling of joy but it doesn't lasts forever. it goes away even for the simple reason that we get used to it.

This famous brazilian song sums up pretty well:

"Tristeza não tem fim, felicidade sim. A felicidade é como a pluma que o vento vai levando pelo ar, voa tão leve, mas tem a vida breve, precisa que haja vento sem parar."

"Sadness has no end, happiness does. The happiness is like a feather that the wind wafts through the air, it flows so light, but its life is brief, it needs a constant wind."

For me, happiness means achieving a balance in life and also fulfilling my hopes, feeling loved, doing something I love, and going through life naturally instead of feeling like It's a chore every day. I'm definitely not the happiest person currently, but I am happy at times . I feel that I still need to try and achieve or find true happiness.

True! thats why I always say, do everything u want to do before u get into any kind of serious comitment, bcs many people who dont and rush into things, when they get to reach stability, they do exactly what u say. They feel like they missed many stuff in their life that they cant do with whichever kind of serious comitment they are in, and either live their lives super bitter or they leave whatever they have and go on and do what they want, leaving behind their jobs, families or kids.

what if one day the world we know it is gonna change? or you're in a place where money have no value cause there is nothing you can buy? would you feel forever unhappy? or you'll set different standards?
