The only good thing to come of identity politics in America is to figure out that I am of Scottish descent even though I have an Irish name. It took me years to figure out because I was not born in Britain and New York is multi-culti (I could not get my bearings because of that) and because genetic calculators are mostly trash and DNA companies tell you what they think you want to hear.
