It's a bit confusing though, since I suspect regions around Budapest to be most populated. Do you know what average they report for the country?

I can tell you Budapest metro outside of few inner city hoods has relatively low number of Gypsies. They are concentrated in northeastern Hungary and southern Transdanubia, but I didn't know they have significant presence in central Alfold as well. If you wish I'll ask Stears to find such information in research paper. But I'm not sure they reported total percentage of Gypsies nation-wide.

Why they are so many in Hungary? Even in Slovakia and Czechia seems to be many of them. I can explain why in Romania they are so many, but in these countries not.
