It's okay the last good Bond movie was Golden Eye. The franchise should have been flushed a long time ago.

Honestly, I only care because good movie directors won't race to get the lead role in new Bond movie, but perhaps risk a bit and who knows, create some masterpiece of their own. Most of the Hollywood movies lately are Badman or some other Marvel crap, or remake of all-time hits like Bond.

For me, the last successful Bond film was Casino Royale. But that doesn't mean that the previous episodes with Brosnan were good - they were average to bad (only Golden Eye stands out for the better).
The latest Spectre movie was weak in every way.
The last upcoming episode with Craig I will watch without much hope, but if what Harkonnen writes is true, then this franchise is also dead to me.

She was given 007 designation after Bond (Craig) retired. He quit. Since Craig is still the lead actor in the next movie Bond will probably be reinstated as 007 by the end of the movie.
If these rumours are about her playing 007 after the next film then that is a different matter entirely.
