Spain - A large part of my ancestry is from here as is my religion, i've lived in the country and the only grandparent i've ever met was born here
UK - I've lived here for most of my life, with some ancestry from here

Medium Green:

France - My dad is a native French speaker and a lot of Mauritian culture comes from here. I also have French ancestry
(I would put Mauritius here too but it's so fucking small it doesn't even show on the map)

Light Green:

India - I have ancestry from here, though I had no exposure at all to the culture growing up
Pakistan - Same reason as India + I visibly look the part. Probably my best fit phenotypically
China - Same reason as India

Yellow:

Madagascar - I have ancestry from here but don't look the part at all. Also zero exposure to the culture

Grey:

- No connection

I don't mean by this map that I 'hate' this country or that people, nor that I support the political parties or current social trends of the green countries - most of the countries I've labelled dark green have political parties in power and trends I very much despise. But in terms of a connection, this is what my heart says
