Clearly Slavic to me but a little bit different from Russian or Polish,
it sounds kinda heavier compared to these two

Very Slavic. Sounds more like Polish rather than Russian but also different from Polish. It probably originated somewhere in the Czech Republic/Poland area but there has occurred a vowel shift since it's been in the Balkans.

Like all other Slavic languages except for Czech, Slovakian and to a lesser extent, Polish. Distantly familiar, I can pick out words here and there, but to make sense of the whole thing just based on the speech? No way.

well they belong to different language groups. i cannot find similarities really. it's difficult to compare two completely different languages.
