no man tells his woman what to vote. what world do you think we're living in? i said that couples tend vote for the same party in 99% of the cases. they influence each other. i wouldn't call women who vote different than their partners - free thinkers. it happens sometimes to have a different political view but if this is a national trend then i have a different opinion about why this is happening so often

I would. Actually I have a full family tree were females voted differently than his male partners, without going further my wife usually votes differently from me.
However, today it is more common for couples to share similar political affinities, sometimes it is a deal-breaker (but today everything is).

Interesting if true. I guess the reason women may vote more left despite that is because they're not one issue voters. Just because they may agree with the right on immigration doesn't mean they agree with them on everything.
Or maybe this could just be a French thing.
