Default Is it better to be more British/Irish than Germanic?

My father is at least half German. My 23andme results usually showed it like that. Now it's saying I'm almost half British and Irish and only 20% French/German? And also my Jewish went up. This seems strange. Should I no longer consider myself Germanic despite my rich lineage in the Fatherland?

It's neither better nor worse. You have Germanic ancestry either way, so you would be justified in calling yourself Germanic, lmao.

I know my mother's family going back to King Edward III. My dad's size is back to 1700s Germany/Lithuania.

Not really. That's why it's called Anglo-Saxon. The Saxons represent the Germanic side, while the Anglos represent Great Britain, although both had intermingling of the two. The English are mostly Anglos, with possible Nordic influence and Saxon influence. Germans are mostly Saxon and Celtic.

What's the Eastern European? I'd imagine you score some given your Lithuanian heritage.

Yes, its my Baltic ancestry. They lumped that in with EE, even though the Baltic peoples are really more Northern European.

Nope. Germanic is a ethno-linguistic grouping that includes both English and Germans, neither of which are purely Germanic in DNA.
    Anglos were Germanic tribe btw.

You probably meant English are mostly native Briton genetically, which is true. Germans aren't mostly Saxon though, their Germanic side is composed of various tribes (depends on the region) and not only Saxons.

Balts still have a decent eastern european "signature" to their genetics. They're closer to Scandinavians than Poles are to the latter, but not by a ton.
