With a character similar to mine - yes, my father and brother to a very large extent.
Appearance - yes, there was an advertisement for some food on TV a few years ago, and there was a guy at the table, 90% similar to me, I almost fell off my chair when I saw it.

I met someone with the same experiences, a similar past and the same illness. She had turned out very different and had become a ruthless character that masked herself well, but likes hurting people.

No not someone exactly like me, but definitely met people with some very similiar personality traits and interests. It is usually a good experience.
I can at times be very stubborn so maybe if I met someone exactly like me we could clash in our mutual stubborness at times.

I think its unlikely one will meet someone exactly the same. Usually we all have our own very specific and unique experiences from the cradle to adulthood that shape us and can give us our own very unique and specific subjective lens on how we see and feel and asscociate things. Then add in genetic and or astrological personality-quirks- traits / temperament that we seem to be born with / inherit.
