I2-PH908? That's uncommon among Bulgarians; almost all Bulgarian I2a1b falls under Dinaric North branches. I wonder if this guy has some Serb roots.

Serbian is unlikely but some Russian or Ukrainian is possible, considering the unusually high Baltic. During communist times many Bulgarians who studied in USSR married to Russian or Ukrainian women.

Bulgarian community in USSR was very isolated. My Bulgarian ancestors were from USSR, did not mix with North Slavs and other ethnicities for about 150 years

I'm not talking about Bessarabian Bulgarians. I'm talking about Bulgarian BKP members who studied in a Russian university, married a Russian or Ukrainian woman there and returned to Bulgaria with her.
