How is speaking two other languages fluently relevant to whether you speak English well? It's one irrational statement after another with you.[/QUOTE]No, what you said supported my point in the following sense : Human moral concepts cant be applied to animals. Applying the moral concept of consent to a animal that doesnt even have self awarness doesnt make any sense.

Dogs have self-awareness. Intellectually they're at the level where they do have self-awareness. Your premise is wrong and so your argument is wrong.

Would it surprise you if I said I don't care? I'd rather talk about whether dogs have self-awareness than if you're the next Lord Byron.
If I knew a mocking joke would evolve into posts about it, I would have just said you were a jackass because no one goes on and on about being called a jackass.

Dogs failed the mirror self recognition test. Though we can never know for sure. Since we cant access their awarness.

We apply our morals to everything around us and treat intelligent animals differently because they are intelligent animals.
Dogs recognize their own odor as being themselves. That in itself is evidence of self-awareness.

Self recognition via olfactory sensory input doesnt fall into higher cognition if you ask me. Pretty much all mammals recognize their offspring for example by their smell. And im pretty sure that if they can recognize the smell of their offspring they can also recognize their own.
Bears for example also mark their territory, leaving their scent on trees by rubbing against them. They should also be able to differentiate between their smell and that of others.

I didn't misunderstand or misinterpret your point. What I take issue with is that you ignored what I specifically said about intelligence in my post and then claimed I was supporting your argument, which clearly wasn't the case, and then try to move the argument away from addressing my argument in favor of speaking of your own as if mine was already addressed, which it hadn't. Only recently you made an attempt to address what I said by speaking of self-awareness.
This conversation is going nowhere and I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my Christmas Eve talking about whether or not it's immoral for a person to allow a dog to fuck them. It wasn't on my 'to do list' for today. Only at Apricity, though.
