I haven't seen Magic Mike, but I imagine, going off of the reviews I've read, that the casting and script is somewhat competent.
Showgirls is a disaster all the way around; Verhoeven's attempt to capitalize on the success of Basic Instinct (already considered to be light camp) would, in any possible situation, yield nothing but pure garbage.
