There are some differences, but both groups look much more similar to one another than either are to Southern Europeans which can be seen in genetics as well with Maghrebis clustering the closest to Egyptians and others than to Iberians for example despite the geographic proximity. This genetic relations between us is very ancient. And besides all that, the closest Afro-Asiatic languages to the Berber languages are the Semitic languages which both branches share the most recent linguistic node or ancestry.

Yes, Palestinian and Jordanians are more Southern shifted genetically(more admixed with our southern neighbors) than Lebanese and Syrian Muslims, esp the Northern ones.

Not really, no. I mean, Southern Moroccans are indeed pretty SSA admixed, but they're not representatives to the average Moroccan which most Moroccans are living in the coastal lines of Morocco or other Maghrebis either.
