It always surprises me how everyone little people know about Zoroasteianism and how everyone assumes Parsis are Hindu when it couldn't be more different. We are literally descendants of the people "who once ruled the world" haha , and whatever religion you follow most likely has heavy influences from Zoroasters' teachings.

So no, Mehta isnt a 'light caste' Indian because he isn't even Hindu. He has no caste. Also, many 'high caste Indians have very dark skin. Skin color doesn't completely relate to class level.

If you want to see more Parsi phenotype, I just posted my picture in the Anthro forum too. You can see/comment there if you'd like. I can also give you my GEDmatch results if you are interested to learn more.
Yup. I mean, some Parsi that I've seen look very Persian to me, and Freddy Mercury(RIP) was of Parsi ancestry. He looked very Iranian to me, but can pass in the Levant quite well..I mean, after all, we're heavily mixed with the neolithic Iranians from the neolithic to the early Iron age periods.

I mean, judging by google images, they seem to be pretty diverse in phenotypes:

I consider them Persians with a bit of Indian admixture. They are not that far from Persian groups genetically as some people believe.

Don't trust google images. We are too small of a community for people to actually know who we even are and we try to remain to ourselves. From your link, I've personally attended some of these functions/weddings and the people actually featured in the pictures are literally Hindu men with Parsi women or vice versa or just Hindus. Not to mention they literally have pictures of Hindu actors (Sonam Kapoor, Bachan family) dressed in Parsi attire.

If you search 'parsi apricity' on google, you'd get a more accurate description. Even that's not fully accurate because some of them are Irani or half Irani (like John Abraham). If youd like, I can show you what Parsis actually look like, but I don't think you'd be interested haha.

Tbh, I’m not sure because I’ve never really met many Parsis. Just judging off of some group photos, they seem to be mostly Persian + Indian looking with various outliers on both ends of that spectrum

Well the examples I posted on the first page along with a few apricity threads would be good starting points. If you are more interested, I can give you pics of actual weddings etc(a lot of them on alamy or Google.)

Anyone's who's actually met one of us, or is familiar with our genes, knows about this (phenotype and genotype).Y results are very similar.
Parsis are largely endogamic so it makes sense why our genetics are still so much western shifted.

    Brown people.
The Guanche skulls as a whole are unlike those of modern European Mediterraneans, and resemble northern European series most closely, especially those in which a brachycephalic element is present, as in Burgundian and Alemanni series.
divided them into clearly differentiated types, which include a Mediterranean, a Nordic, a "Guanche," and an Alpine. The "Guanche" accounts for 50 per cent of the whole on the four islands of Teneriffe, Gomera, Gran Canaria, and Hierro; the Nordic for 31 per cent, the Mediterranean for 13 per cent, and the Alpine
