For me, oh, that's a tough question. The people here in Poland are the major reason (besides lower living standards than in Western Europe), why I'm ashamed of my country and depressed about the fact I was born here.
They are pessimistic, angry, not creative as artists (why do we have the abundance of disco polo) and scientists, always envious of someone successful and talented. On top of that, Polish people have issues with low self-esteem all the time.
I don't know, maybe the WWII and communism made the Polish people think this way, but it's deplorable.
On the other hand, Poland is my home and probably I would not replace it with anything else. If I have to find some positive things about Poland, that are: the legends of Wawel's Dragon and Devil Boruta, great and old castles, nice food, Animation Studio in Bielsko-Biała, the fact that I can feel somehow safe here, wonderful computer games that came out of Poland (e.g. The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Juarez, Painkiller and many more).
Sorry, it's COVID time, so I'm particularly picky on my own country.

At the same time, I have to remark that I don't like in my country people who are kvetching (similar Polish word - kwiczeć, that means "squeaking" or "complaining") about how my country - Poland is bad almost for no reason. If you think so, then fix it. People, who are ashamed of their own countries are incredibly insecure and as a centrist, it is not hard to notice for me.
I see a lot of people complaining about the U.S. the same way, mostly leftists do that.
Are there any other examples of cultural cringe all over the world? In my own country there are a lot of them, who are ashamed of their own country.

Australia where I live = There are many good ,decent and reasonable folks here but the same as many places its a mixed bag.
We are a new world country so the population overall really isnt homogenous.
I would say in many ways Australia 30 to 35 years ago was a bit better as it was less populated in the bigger citys and the pace of life was a tad more easy going than nowdays. Big citys have now become more populated due to immigration , more competition in jobs, housing , housing prices up , people have become more globalised to some extent at least younger genrations.
If Im overseas and I hear someone with an Australian accent I rarely feel inclined to approach them connect with them just because there also from Austrlalia, although I have done that on some occasions.

I luv my country in the sense that I would defend it if it was attacked etc but I dont feel a deep ethnic brotherhood sort of thing with Australians in a general sense . I do value and cherish things about our country and there are many things and places that are sentimental to me about Australia. I just dont feel we have a very rich or deep ethnic identity character compared to other older nations because we are probably the youngest or one of the youngest new world nations.

    Hungarians/Hungarian Background
: I feel connected to Hungary/Hungarianisms through my Paternal line , good relationships and experiences with my Hungarian Grandparents and relatives in Hungary and friendships from local diaspora community.
It Doesnt mean that just because someone else is Hungarian that automatically I will get along with them, but I tend to find
    Hungarians -Hungarianisms interesting.

British background: Most of my connection is cultural due to living in the Anglosphere , there are many things that have come
from Britain that I appreciate and have some sense of connection to ...obviously language , Books , Music, Television shows/Cinema/Comedy , some influence from Britain on food in Australia like Fish n Chips , Meat Pies, Roast dinners.
Ive not personally lived in Britain or been amongst large numbers of Brits to form any strong oppinions about how feel about them.
From the ones Ive encountered I tend to have between a neutral to friendly view, probably mostly neutral.
