Spain is miles away distance wise on genetic maps, Ukraine is closer to Ireland than Spain for example.

I'm fairly typical brit mix these days with english, irish and welsh, so also heavily celtic influenced, but my closest K13 distance to Spain is in 18th position, behind Hungarian

People on this forum are closet nordicists or nazis or something. They think just because a minority of British people look like nordicized mediterraneans that creates a Spanish link. In reality it is more like British people look like French people with elevated levels of nordic. It's like their retarded logic is that since Britain is about as north as Norway and Denmark that means they should all be albinos.

British people have the most unique looks in europe, but yes i have also always seen them as looking intermediate to northern french and Dutch people: more northern looking than french (like Dutch) but also more "western" looking than Dutch (like French)

I think it is because of the Atlantic Facade which used to be discussed on here a few years ago and also I think Oppenheimer's paper that came out in the early 2000s when he thought R1b was from the Franco-Cantabrian Ice Age Refuge and he then went on the say the Insular Celts and Basque had a close genetic relationship because of this ydna. So I think it is a hangover from this and also because stuff on the net is never updated with later information and this stuff still comes up when you search.

Another one is the Irish Book of Invasions (Lebor Gabála Érenn) which linked the Gaels with coming from Spain with their original ancestors being Queen Scota (a daughter of the Pharoah) and a prince of Scythia's son Nel who married Scota and their son Goídel Glas is the originator of the Gaelic language.

The Irish that went to Spain in the 17th Century were awarded equal rights as Spaniards. I'm not sure if this was because they believed the Lebor Gabála Érenn and also thought the Irish came from Spain originally or it was because of some other reason.

Anyway I'll post my K13 like Davystan above. I'm even more distant from Spain than him but the Irish are generally more distant to most European populations than the English with a few exceptions.

I recently saw people here (in a thread about spain and britain which is active these days) talking about an "atlantic facade".. my impression is that people overemphasize "west vs east" meanwhile "south vs north" is more important when it comes for genetics and racial types

I doubt it most James Bond actors have tradtionally been Atlantid , like myself, but not Daniel Craig. Also, many British actors don't look like Sean Connery or Mr Bean e.g. Jason Statham, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Irons etc...
