similar yes, but they ll will have a slightly different range of hair colour in that age- more reddish and platinum blondes compared to East Austria and propably also a few more darker /Med-ish ones as well. Also you ll see people who really look Italian ( i think even when you pick only German speaking schools) which is here not the case.

Actually you are right, i think it was Anthroscape where there was a thread on S Tyrol, many there were surprisingly light and nothing like Italians while others would not look out of place in Naples, it was like the population of a New York or New Jersey suburb with that typical mix of Italian and Northern Euro elements only it has looked like that for much much longer than NY.

This family is a great example of a typical German descended family in S Tyrol,

    Subnordids, Alpinids, Norids and Atlantids.

They more Western, than Hungarians average, but still Central Euro phenotypes.

You mean Siegmar Klotz, Dominik Paris and the like right ?

On the other hand you also have types like Dominik and Kevin Fischnaller that look intermediate between alp. italians and bavarians (e.g. Thomas Dreßen), these are quite easy to spot.

yep, good pics, even though i think Paris looks very South Tyrolian mix of both sides and i actually have seen Germans who look pretty much like Klotz.

i think Manuel Fischnaller is also a good example of Italian looking despite German name

those two look more Italian but i saw also people who look like this here

and since Oliver said that it reminds him of American situation, some people do have an American look- being half German/ half Italian which is not uncommon there too like Thomas Di Pauli

South Tyroleans don't look that different compared to other alpine north Italians anyways.
