Ok, but that's not what I mean. Claiming you know what God is or what God wants is what I talk about, and I'm pretty sure some folks envision God like that around here.

We know in our hearts who God "is." You can call it "right from wrong." Past that, it don't matter.
example: "Let your yes be yes, and your no be no," everything else is BS.

The reason I say this is because cataphatic theology can be misleading. Person may think he/she understands God or what God wants, which is hard to imagine if you take God is also beyond this realm. And I think some of the folks here are mislead, trying to convince others what is God or what God wants from them. I think that's not what the apophatic theology is about, and what the church at its beginnings was proposing.
