Earlier in this thread, I used Google's Cloud Vision API to get the coordinates of facial landmarks of each player in this thread, and I then calculated various metrics based on the landmarks. I converted the metrics into z-scores by subtracting the average and dividing by standard deviation. Next for each trait, I calculated the average z-score of the trait among the top 25 picks of each user, for which I use the term "valuation score", because it expresses how much a user values the trait. I posted the valuation scores of each user on page 8 of this thread: https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...=1#post7020496.

Now I tried using the valuation scores of each user to predict which players the user would find the most attractive. For each user, I multiplied the score of each player for each metric by the user's valuation score for the metric, and I then made a morph of the 8 players with the highest total score.

At least in my case, the morph below ended up being fairly accurate. My morph has a high nasal index and low orbits, just like the morph of my top 25 picks. For some reason my morph looks very similar to Stearsolina's morph, even though in this thread Stearsolina wasn't even a true member of the Uralic cluster.

Note that the morphs below don't take preferences for pigmentation into account, because the morphs are based solely on the coordinates of facial landmarks.

I now generated more metrics for the players in this thread based on the coordinates of facial landmarks returned by Google's Cloud Vision API.

This time I only considered 75 out of all 270 players who had a low value of the "joyLikelihood" parameter ("VERY_UNLIKELY", "UNLIKELY", or "POSSIBLE"). I converted each metric to z-scores normed against only the players with a low "joyLikelihood" value.

I had earlier rated the players in this thread on a 7-point scale, and I now calculated the average z-scores among players with rating 1-3 (worst) and rating 5-7 (best). Then for each trait, I subtracted the average score the of worst-rated players from the average score of best-rated players:

The conventional wisdom is that medium IPD is better than low or high IPD, but I think below average IPD looks better, at least when adjusted for a measure like face width.

Here are also the average z-scores of everyone's picks. I again included only the players with a low "joyLikelihood" parameter. Unlike my own scores in my previous post, the scores of everyone's picks were based only on picks for best players, so I divided my own scores by two to make them comparable to everyone's scores.

Based on everyone's picks, the best positive predictors of attractiveness were "tragion to glabella : tragion to gnathion" and "palpebral fissure height : face size", even though my own score for both of them was slightly negative.

Other users actually tended to value the opposite characteristics as me, so the correlation coefficient between the columns for everyone's score and my own score was -0.04.

Here's an updated heatmap based on the z-scores of everyone's picks for 25 best players. This time I included all players and not just players with a low "joyLikelihood" value, so for example users who are shown as having a high score for mouth width might have just picked more players who were smiling.

Me and Edgü form the tightest cluster. Stearsolina and Immanenz are also part of the same cluster with us.

I also calculated pairwise distances between users based on the Euclidean distance of their metric z-scores. After me and Edgü, the pair of users who have the deepest blue squares are Love Lives and Dan Coren (who are two accounts of the same Romanian troll).
