Essentially, a British Isles and French mix in a nutshell. I like to use the term "Acadian" because a lot French settlers mixed with alot of English, Scottish and Irish settlers in New Brunswick during the late 1600s onwards when the French fought the British over the Canadian Maritime colonies which I descend from on both sides of my family.

Nevertheless, you are correct; I descend strongly from these earlier settlers from Canada.
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

It can easily go back to ancient Gaul or Hibernia, that's why I was asking.

You do realize that using the website is for fun, right? I don't claim to be some WASP supremacist like Lovecraft who was a strong Anglophile. Lovecraft was mostly a shut-in who wasn't used to anything non-British in terms of immigration (this included discrimination against the Irish, Jews and Italians when they first came to the U.S.).

Nevertheless, as Lovecraft got older his personal prejudices softened/embraced diversity as he was on his deathbed and he married a Jewish woman (Sonia Greene) despite his personal prejudices for anything that deviated from English ancestry.

I merely admire Lovecraft for his creativity, style of writing and his intellect of the sciences/physics (such as "The Colour Out of Space") in his short stories that I read vicariously when I was an adolescent.

I don't get why my DNA doesn't segment-match any of the available medieval slavic samples, and also I see some other non-Slavic Balkanites not getting them at all either. It must be that the samples are too few and low-quality, or that they simply don't represent the very first slavs that arrived in our region.

At first I was confused as to why Illyrian was so high since I don't have any Eastern European ancestry that I know of, but it seems like a few people of Spanish descent have similar results. I wonder why that is? I'm mostly Puerto Rican, somewhere around 75-85% genetically European of which ~50% is Spanish.
