Default MEN: Post your total testosterone levels (ng/dL)

Just got tested for Lyme, and they measured my total testosterone levels as part of the assessment.

My total level came back at 986 ng/dL. Pretty satisfied with that; also explains my high sex drive. I'd like to get above 1,000 ng/dL naturally, so I think I'm going to consider additional healthy lifestyle practices.

To a certain extent, as with everything else. I believe significant health complications can arise at >1,200 ng/dL.

I have never had my testosterone level tested. I did have a Lyme disease test before, how are the two connected, or did you just add a special request to check your testosterone at the same time as the Lyme? Seems like a very good, solid result that you got.

For starters, medical specialists in my region are quite wary of the disease, given that we've got a high rate of infection within this part of Pennsylvania (very woodsy, lots of folk who spend time outdoors, etc.).

Anyway, a few weeks ago I began to present symptoms (most significant of which was fatigue) which were similar to those I experienced last time I contracted Lyme. Contacted my doctor and arranged for bloodwork to be done; he decided to screen for a variety of conditions which result in fatigue, low testosterone being one of them!
