How relevant is height within society?

This seems something I always wondered about. How do the shorter guys tend to view the fact they are short and vice versa too? Something so painfully wired within our minds and consciousness cannot go by ignored, especially when it comes to dating standards/culture, business, politics and even within academia where it shows to have multiple outcomes in relation to life depending on a person's height. As a guy standing 1.97m tall (6'5 and a half) I've experienced situations where my height came as a huge advancement to progress and other times but less frequent not so. Curious to see what other people have to share to this.

I'm not tall or short I'm just about 6' foot tall more or less but I think women view short men as not 'real men'. Also, at least in America the average height of a CEO is 6' foot tall about 2.5 inches taller than the average man.

Height matters A LOT in the business world and booty world, but height is a multiplier trait. Meaning if height is all you got and your other traits are low, height won’t increase your status and looks by as much as if a good looking guy was tall. Same goes for having a huge dick.

Luso....as you are 5ft 9..in the average height range for a man, and still taller than most women.....you will not be discriminated against by most women for your height face to face

in the on-line world, alot more women seem to have idealised standards (ie they may say in an online dating profile, they want a man 6ft-6ft3, etc)

5 foot 9 men in America are def discriminated against lol. Most men are but especially manlets. I’m almost 6 foot 5 and at least once or twice a day I get height mogged. I can’t imagine being under 6 feet in America.

Standing at 5'4' without my shoes, I think being tall is given way too much importance in modern life.
It's worth considering that even in more primal times, a longer lance or the advent of firearms, rendered men largely equal,
not to mention the other qualities and attainments that make a human being successful and variously attractive.

Just gotta hope that building muscle will make me stand out. Can't do anything ab my height so no point in worrying ab it excessively. In shoes, I can get to 5 ft 11 but that's all.

Yeah that’s the right attitude. Getting jacked will def multiply your looks. As well as if you live in Portugal or Spain the average height is less so you won’t be height mogged as much.

I live in NY, but when I visit Portugal & Spain I am slightly above avg height.

I never felt like my height (5'8) put me at a disadvantage in dating or whatever else, it doesn't even cross my mind in everyday life, honestly when people ask me for my height I have to go like "....eh, I think 5'8?", haha.

I think a lot the time if people have a difficult time finding a significant other it is not really because of how they look, because I have seen very good looking people complain about being single, it has to do with personality.
