Milan did not play catenaccio, boy. The reason Maldini did not score more goals nor he gave more assists was himself, not the play style of Milan.

If you know the tactics of Milan he had to stay compact with the defense or at most the midfield. No way he was allowed the same freedom to go forward as much as Roberto Carlos that is the point.
