I'd say the Irish are cheeky c*nts for imposing a travel ban on Britishers, but when I consider the population size of Ireland vis-a-vis the UK it makes sense.

They'd be mad not to. They have significantly fewer cases and deaths than the UK. Why would they not impose travel bans? Here in Australia the different states closed their borders. The state where I live has had their border closed to the other Australian states since COVID started and we have hardly been affected by COVID. They just recently opened the borders up but have now closed to NSW again.

So far the "lockdowns" have been mild, and they just go from level red to orange and back again.

If this was serious they would put a strong lock down on everything from the very beginning for a couple weeks.

And NZ is right to restrict travellers from Australia for the same reason -- until mass immunizations take place, masks & travel restrictions are the best measure.
