We did not have many old tanks during my time. There were some M-60A3s still in inventory but the majority were brand new M1A1 Abrams during the early to mid 90s. The branches had all received new equipment from the Reagan era defense buildup.

All that being said I do not think Gen Z and the millenials could defeat China. They are too soft to deal with what the communists would throw at them. U.S. has not fought well against communist armies over the past 60 years.

Given China's "vast population and deep knowledge and experience in guerrilla warfare", if the Soviets launched an attack on China's nuclear program they would surely become "mired in an endless war".[7]

I wouldn't be surprised if the US is more armed than this. It is always better that people think you have less than what you really got.

Of course having superb military strength is critical but China's goal of world domination is to do that without firing a shot....which is of course the famous quote from Khrushchev.
