Yea also the frequency is banned for use because of a treaty on account people think that aliens will use it, so anything in that frequency is going to be under the microscope. Kind of arrogant to assume aliens would use a certain channel. The last one was like 30 years ago and we have only really been listening to space signals for like 60 so the space apart makes it seem less suspect. It's not like they are spamming the channel.

The whole point of science is to minimize the dilemma whether what you think is right is actually right or wrong. Yes, we physically didn't explore a lot of space and space is huge, however like in the case of particle physics where we can't see those subatomic particles we still have the means to test and create theoretical framework, and today as a sidestep we even use simulation to confirm whether we figured it all out correctly, check boundary cases etc. And it works, otherwise you wouldn't have computers, digital cameras etc. That being said, I don't agree with you. There are occassions when science goes wrong, but its not so common, and its unwise to deny hundred thousand years of collective knowledge.
