    I dont think it is too hard to find Turanid because I have lived in Turkmenistan for 5 years and seen thousands of them. (And there are millons of them) If you mean in Anatolia u may be right. Anatolian Turkomans are more alpinid influenced than Turkmenistan Turkmens for sure. But you can be sure these photos u saw are amongst the best examples of Turanid phenotype in Turkey. My grandfather was a Taurus Nomad until 1960. So it will give you a clue about purity. I will try to add more photos about family and other nomads from where I live, to expand database. And I suggest you and other users from Turkey to send more photos to expand the phenotype pool.

    Türkmenistan'daki insanlar da genel olarak Turanid ile birlikte Iranic etkide ama. Ben çekik gözlü olup olmamaktan bahsetmiyorum bu arada. Turanid fenotipinin tüm özellikleri birebir karşılayan insan sayısı diğer fenotiplere göre çok daha az çünkü Türkler her yere dağılmış. Örneğin beni burada çoğu insan Turanid olarak sınıflandırdı fakat ben de birebir Turanid görünümüne uymuyorum. Yoksa Türkiye'de bulunan Turanid sayısı çoğu kişinin dediği gibi az değil fakat diğer fenotiplerle karışık bir şekilde bazılarında baskın, bazılarında daha hafif bir şekilde görülüyor.

    Exactly. I have some Turanid relatives and all of them have another admixture like Alpine, Baltid or Med.
