My Mother's DNA results

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find my “phantom” ancestor (implying that he exist) yet. My Grandmother was a children of an extramarital relationship, so my Great-grandfather didn't want to take on the responsibility of being a father. So I did my DNA test and my mom one. MyHeritage shows she isn't Syrian (Her mom told her her grandfather was half Syrian/ half French).
Instead, they inform she has got Portuguese from Castelo Branco ancestry. Since her other 3 great-grandparents are from Sicily, Bergamo and Venetto, this very specific Portuguese ancestry is an "alien" take into acount what she knows about her Grandparents.



So I look forward other calculators and there are two particular calculators on the GedMatch that I have found to help identify the trace Amerindian ancestry:

Eurogenes K36
MDLP World-22

My mother’s results showed 0% Native American and about 0% East Asian, which can sometimes mean Native American ancestry, in Eurogenes K36:



But MDLP world 22 find a bit of Native American ancestry.



My K36 results shows 0% Native American and East Asian too:



But my MDLP world 22 shows about half her South American Amerind (0.2%)



Is that possible to predict my phantom great-grandfather's ancestry? Is that possible he is full Portugese or an mixed one (Brazilian)? Is that possible he is the Syro-French one? She didn't have got any matches in Portugal or Syria in MyHeritage.

Since all of her ancestors contributed to make her who she is, she felt it was important to be as thorough as possible in her research, and DNA test give us a light.

Don't pay attention to that Amerindian noise, your mom is likely fully European. I can't tell if she's part Syrian or not.

Thank you, Leto. It's horrible I don't know one ancestor. This test led me sad. No Syrian... Doing such tests we can discovery that our ancestors lied. If I had know at least his ethnicity, I would be able to make questions properly her DNA matchs. It's sad. At the end, this DNA test showed I dont't know one part of me.

I need to know my ancestry to make questions. In southern Brazil it's a very reliable information, because Europeans occupied this region, so, almost all people self identify as their European Ancestry there. They usually refer to their as Polish, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and so on. So I can make questions such as "Do you have a Portuguese grandfather?". It's easy to find someone. But in my case, my grandmother was a hidden child, so, nobody knows she exists. It's hard. They would denny it or they would be shocked because it would affect their family reputation.

I don't know if DNA Land is Accurate. My mother's aunt tell me he was Turkish instead Syrian.

Now I think it's compatible with a half Syrian/Half French grandpa.
Can I run deeper her MTDNA (and so mine) in another website? What do "U" means?

Your mother seems to be a mix of North Italian and Central Italian with some extra Greek / Albanian.
