It is very clear he is not fully Jewish; the mother alleged they had partial Jewish ancestry on both sides, not that both parents were Jewish, or even that either one was.

The only people I can think of right now are too old to be considered leaders but could be considered leaders in the past for those who share their belief systems. Pat Buchanan was a leader for many traditional conservatives. Ron Paul could be considered a leader to many Libertarians. Both ran for president. Both have clean records.
I'm a big fan of both despite major differences between the two. I'm much more a fan of Ron Paul. He's the grandpa everyone should have. But I also have a deep respect for Buchanan.

Lewis Lehrman was the coauthor of Ron Paul's book "The Case for Gold". His Wikipedia page says that he was on the board of directors of The Project for a New American Century.
Lehrman was a Knight of Malta according to the article "Who knows? The Knights of Malta know" by Penny Lernoux (National Catholic Reporter, May 5, 1989) (http://web.archive.org/web/200704110...pwatch/cnp.php).
