I don't blame you. It's just one big scam.

It's the opposite. Net contribution is there to rub people's noses. You really think Netherlands, Germany and some other countries (or any country) are good samaritans and they don't get anything in return? They want the EU and the Eurozone because they have benefit from it. Eurozone enables free and easier movement of capital, workforce etc. Stronger countries and those on top take advantage of that in various ways. They are not some good samaritans.

I don't mind that. Kudos to those countries, hopefully they get 10 times richer. But surely nobody likes when they rub people's noses while sucking money from them.

Actually. We can get exactly the same when we do what Norway does at 1/4 of the annual cost incurred on the taxpayer.

I am sure Dutch would still do just fine without the EU and the Eurozone. Just stop pretending being some good samaritans. You know that nothing is free.

The East would do well to remember that. When we leave, they will come crashing down. The only thing that is beneficial to us, would be the CM, and we can get that through the EFTA and thus EEA. All for close 1/4 of the cost (161,88 euro per head per year instead of 468,76) and with independence. I'll have some of that, thanks!

Especially not for them. NW Europeans are notoriously cheap/stingy with money, especially Protestants. Ofc they promote Euro and Eurozone because their financial benefit from that is bigger than their investment.

Yes, Germany is by far bigger benefitor from Euro and Eurozone. Not to mention brain drain they are leeching from smaller and weaker member states.
Whoever thinks they are investing in the east due to goodness of their heart is a complete moron.

The Dutch should chart their own course like every European nation worthy of the name.

A smaller, less bureaucratic NW European Union with national sovereignty coming first and equal obligations is the way forward.

Unfortunately you won't leave. You depend too much on Eurozone. Or maybe not, seems you know more than CEP.

They said the same about the Brits in 2012: They will never leave the EU. They will go under.
