No. Justice demands terrible tortures for enemies/terrorists/rapists/pederasts/criminals. At least I am in favour of this.

Torture was ruled out by the English common law - and proscribed by Magna Carta[1] - as far back as the 13th century before the Crown practice of issuing torture warrants was finally ended by the Long Parliament in 1640.[2] It was not until the 18th and 19th centuries that Continental Europe followed suit.

This history of British leadership on the torture ban should be a source of pride across the political spectrum, but especially amongst Conservatives whose philosophy is heavily defined by a commitment to protecting individual liberties against abuse by the state.

As a soundbite I think it's very tempting and a populist idea.
In practice who will get to determine who qualifies as a "terrorist?"
Do you want to give Joe Biden and the Democrats that power?
Biden and his regime could just declare any political opposition party or individuals as "terrorists," and their lap-dogs in the fake news would go along with it...

Cops in the USA are already out of control with their pet projects like the drug-war, do we really need to just grant them full Gestapo like powers with zero oversight?

Right now on the streets of the USA, BLM/Antifa storm-troopers call everyone to the right of Marx a "Nazi," and declare open season on them.
See where this "terrorist" label" can be a bit of an issue?

In the USA we already turn a blind eye to sexual torture for terrorists and non violent offenders alike, in our prison systems; we relegate prison rape to joke material for late night comedians, and their clapping seals in the audience give these jokes thunderous applause.

Britain has been using loyalists in Ireland to torture IRA members since the 1800's pretty much, the British tortured Indians etc etc. If you think a piece of paper and laws mean anything to people who hold the keys to the kingdom I have some snake oil to sell you.
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.

The word terrorists can be miss used sometimes.

They tortued julian assange, i don't think they should have tortured him, he was doing the public a favor by showing us corruption governments commit and cover up.
He was a whistle blower they went after him like he bombed america.

Terrorists, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, etc, have forfeited any individual liberties.
