    The blondism map shows yellow color in islands near northern japan. They are very close. I don't know if there are natural light eyed and/or light haired Japaneses. I need to travel to Japan to check.

    The hair has been common since the 90s, contact lenses not so much(although specifically in Korea surgery to get a more "Caucasian" eye shape is a thing), but in the case of the Japanese I don't think it's OWD, as it's usually a more cartoonish, unrealistic, literal yellow/platinum colour of blonde, they try to look "anime" rather than northern European(although you can argue anime is rather Nordic worship).
