Highly unlikely. Who would bring it back? Rock is a spent force, let alone rock n roll. Youngsters now prefer some kind of gay hip-hop/rnb mixed with electronic sounds, ie no actual music.

Besides, the cultural overseers don't want anything with too much testosterone or explicitly masculine now.

I am afraid that if it remains as something underground it can end up disappearing. Rock artists/bands would be very limited to live from their talent if the gender remains as being underground and not mainstream like in the good times.

Also, current younger generations need better musical references than the crappy reaggetton, hip hop and other African getto shit that they hear today.

The music has become a meme, nothing serious, with the advent of the Internet. People strongly trivialize music, sadly. Besides, there is way too much of music and way too little passion in music.
Nobody treats music as anything than maybe social commentary, nowadays, it seems. I observe that tendency in Poland. During the communist times, our music was also sort of commentary, but at least rock music used to give some dopamine.
In the West, though, rock music was always better.
Besides, the music has become like in the book "1984" by Orwell. Soulless and meant for consumption, merely. Advent of PC-made muzak with Auto-Tune made the modern music sound like that...
You know, rap, trap, R'n'B, EDM etc.
