Default UK VS THE NETHERLANDS | Which Country Is Better?

This was a suggestion from a subscriber who said I should talk about the pros and cons of living in the UK vs NL. I've jazzed up the title but yeah that's what we're doing! My sincerest apologies for the god awful audio. The next video also has bad audio unfortunately but my new mic should arrive next week If you feel supporting me then here is my gofundme page Also thanks to those who have donated! I finally bought me a mic thanks to your donations! https://www.gofundme.com/f/db9x8b-eli... Crime statistic report: https://www.unodc.org/documents/data-... Instaaaaaaa: elise.acrossthechannel

Probably NL, better run overall, trains being one thing. The UK's chequered history has led to much self criticism, guilt and self flagellation for many, particularly in the middle classes. I'd imagine Netherlands is a lot more unified

No. The Netherlands is notoriously divided and the Anglo guilt culture is making inroads here too. Usually, if something comes to England, then wait a while and it will be here too.

    Gold
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.

What France is to Belgium, the Anglo-Saxon world is to the Netherlands. The first to the annoyance of half of the Flemings at that.

Still, also glad that annoying fads from the Anglo world also take way longer to take root here than they do in the Netherlands.

Urgh.. They are both as bad as the other. I think that working with the so called Verwantschapslanden is preferable.

I remember when Belgium installed a temporary emergency government with a Francophone majority during the first covid wave last spring. I saw Flemish journalists beg to the government to do what French-speaking Belgians do best, follow France, so we could 'enjoy' strict lockdowns.
Nowadays Flemish are looking to France with dread and are hoping Francophone Belgians are curbing their enthusiasm in looking toward Paris, however, for 18h curfews are indeed inhumane.

Still, I face-palmed a lot when a vocal minority of Flemish were behaving like the cowards they are.

Same with me and my own countrymen. They see the Brits and yanks do something, and it is monkey see, monkey do. What a croc...
