A bill reintroduced in the House this week to create a commission to examine reparations for the African American descendants of slavery is being seen by many as an early test of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ proclaimed commitment to tackling structural oppression.

The commission of 13 people would be tasked with examining the history of slavery in the United States and the systemic racism that resulted, including federal and state governments’ role in supporting it, and "recommend appropriate remedies" to Congress. The bill, known as HR 40, was reintroduced Monday by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat.

African-Americans have already been a subsidized population at the expense of White (and Asian) taxpayers for decades... Why would any sane White want to give even more financial help to them? In fact Blacks are already having reparations, it's just not named 'reparation' officially.

That is why the modern left is incoherent or at least it seems that way to me. They used to focus on social class but then moved to the incoherent stance : "Everything is the white mans fault !"

Considering all the violence within their communities in the US and all the ethnic conflicts in Africa, both the Aframs and Africans are the living proof that blacks can't live with one another either. At least not in a way that would be considered normal in any civilized country. And that's not an opinion, but a fact.

As is well known, Abe Lincoln wanted to a create an African American Homeland in the Continent of Africa. The foundation for repatriating Former Slaves to Africa was already in place, because the Western African Nation of Liberia was founded 1816, for that very reason. As to whether such an idea would've been pursued, if Lincoln hadn't been assassinated (in 1865) remains something of a mystery.
