If you think Belgrade became Serbian first time in history in 19th century you are wrong. It happened in late 13th century https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histor...gh_Middle_Ages

In 15th and early 16th century when Belgrade was under the Hungarian rule majority of population were Serbs. In Ottoman time Serbs became minority in Belgrade, but again became majority in 19th century.

Belgrade was capital of Stefan Lazarevićs Serbia in 15th century, before Ottoman occupation.

Zagreb was for centuries center of Hungarian province, not Croatian. Zagreb cathedral is dedicated to Hungarian kings.

It is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and to kings Saint Stephen and Saint Ladislaus.
