    Typical? Who told you that was typical? It is not! More than 85% of the populations in Afghanistan, Tajiskistan, Uzbekhistan, Pakistan, Iran are brown - eyed. Their light eyes are hazel, hazel - green, green, sometimes blue or gray. However, it is wrong to insinuate that eye color is typical there, no way. Hazel - green eyes are one of the rarest eye colors in the world. The thing is that, when we see a non - European person with that type of eye color, then we take more notice of them than with a European person. This eye color is more common in Central and Southern Europe by far than outside of Europe. Also in the other places where, Europeans have strongly settled. Yes, I know that you might say that you have seen light - eyed Afghans, that's true, but the most common eye color by far, outside of Europe is brown.

    I read your phrase and it gives me the impression that the sense in which you say it is:

    "Of course, green and light hazel eyes cannot be considered an European eye colour, simply because are not very common in North European countries but in some "Med" countries are, so..."

    Is that what you were thinking when writing it? Bceause you know that in any Southern European country times are more common tha eye colour than in Afganistan or Tayikistan. Do you?

    His eye tone combined with his complexion is something i have noticed in pictures of Afghans and Tajiks etc he has quite a distinct eye colour that is not seen in the same tone in Europe as much though as gixajo pointed out such types are present in Iberia and in Italy. Most Afghans and Tajiks are dark eyed but light eyes do make i heard about 5% of the population so not that atypical.

    Green and light brown eyes are VERY common in southern Europe. I don't think his eyes are green, but yellow (that's what caught my attention
    )
