You're just looking for a scapegoat. The declining Power of the American Economy was due to numerous factors, many of them completely beyond the influence or control of most Baby Boomers. To keep it briefer and name just one example, by the 1980s, Communist Mainland China became integrated into the world economy. Its billion-size population, hostile business practices, exploitation of weaknesses (both abroad & domestic), espionage activities, corporate theft, and cheap slave labor have altered the trade balance. You just want to blame people, because you're unhappy with our future prospects. Sometimes, things go wrong because of unforeseen circumstances, and a few bad apples among a lot of good people.
