Of course, during the Franco dictatorship, minority languages such as Catalan and Basque were repressed a lot, normally, both areas were pro-republic, what I mean is that currently in Spain it is much more tolerant of regional languages, even giving them status when in Other European countries are still very strict with the regional languages. Belgium is bilingual but Belgium is a country with a lot of division as if they were 2 countries in one, in Switzerland where there are 3 or 4 languages that does not happen.
