I've read that before, but let's see what your people actually did during that time when they lived in freedom far away from any Balkan government. A century ago, as Greek-Macedonian fighters were gaining the upper hand over the VMRO, thousands of Exarchists primarily from the Bitola-Kastoria corridor fled the troubled Balkans for the West. The number of "ethnic Macedonian" organizations they formed amounted to zero. It was all Bulgarian-Macedonian churches, B-M village associations, and later the pro-Bulgarian MPO. When they heard about Bulgarian involvement in the Balkan Wars and World War One, hundreds of men flooded back to the Balkans to volunteer for the Bulgarian army.
Why did your people travel thousands of miles back into the hornet's nest to fight for (according to you) an Asiatic-Turkic-Tatar-Mongol cause when they could have lived much freer and easier lives in the West? Your current position is diametrically opposed to what those people fought for and believed in a century ago. How exactly do you reconcile that?
How ironic that the dialect/language described in that article is actually not spoken by you today. Your communist heroes got rid of all the Greek and Turkish words. Those that ended up in Bulgaria soon adopted its standard vernacular. The people still speaking the old dialect/language are those who never went to Yugoslavia or Bulgaria -- in other words, mostly Patriarchists. Greece either ignored or repressed the language/dialect, yet Greece actually ended up doing far less to kill it than you did. Congratulations on your linguistic genocide.

Yes, our people were cannon fodder for foreign interests for far too long.

Bwahahahahahaha! Wait, I need time to stop laughing.
(later that same day......)
The best part of this "organization" (probably run by one person if it even exists at all) isn't using the name of someone who became a hardcore Bulgarian nationalist later in life and who served in the Moldovan parliament as a representative of the Bulgarian minority, but citing the Treaty of Sevres, which was never ratified. And what the hell is Seress?
Please never stop being you. It's more entertaining than Netflix.

Seems like poetic bullshit influenced by modernity and Balkanization (I'm better than my neighbor).
Why demonize Bogomils to idolize the gods of Olympus? The first rejected iconolatry when the second fucked goats.

Kiril Peichinovich's book from 1816. He was from the Tetovo region in todays north-west Macedonia. The front cover of the book clearly says "knizhnim ezikom Bolgarskim dolni Missi" (literary Bulgarian language lower moesia).

Crvenkovski: Bulgaria through EU wants to achieve what it failed to do in World War II
Today Bulgaria wants to achieve what it failed to achieve in World War II from 1941-45 with weapons and military means and is now using its EU membership and veto power on decision-making. Bulgaria’s position is completely clear to me, but what interests me is how the other EU members view this, said former Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski in his address at the Western Balkans Forum in Sarajevo.
He also reacted fiercely to the speech of the former President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev, who reiterated the well-known theses about the Macedonian people and language as Tito’s work.
I will start my reaction to the statement of President Plevneliev in Macedonian. And not by chance. It is my mother tongue, it is the language spoken by my father, my grandfather, and my grandfather’s grandfather. So several generations before me who were born and lived before Josip Broz Tito and Stalin were born. So nobody, at least I do not know anyone who has succeeded in history to artificially create a new nation. There have been attempts, but none successful, Crvenkovski said.
